

Procedure of teaching
I believe in confucius idea of learning that what the students hear are forgotten, what the students see are remembered and what the students do are understand. In teaching Mathematics it is more important for the students to understand the concept rather than just remembering the topic itself. With this pedagogy I start my class with questions that stirs their minds and motivates them to participate in our class. Every answer of the students should be recognized and every effort should be appreciated. After motivating the students through giving them questions that is related to the topic, I then connects their answers to the main topic and then throws another question that leads them to understand our lesson. It is more fun when the students participates in teaching and learning process.






Time management and organizing activities
Time is important and every second is of infinite value especially in teaching which is bounded with time, as a teacher I used my time wisely by accurately planning my teaching procedure. Due to unexpected circumstances sometimes the time is not enough, but as a teacher we should be open for adjustments and become a problem solver. A time like this I usually adjust my activities and make use of the available technology, such as “classroom app” that is used by the school for activities that are to be answered by the students in that application.
Problem-solving
In my class most of the students hate mathematics, but I always remind my students that math is not to be hated but it is to be a subject where they can realize that every problem has a solution. For 20 day of teaching in SMP Telkom school I encountered a lot of problems and difficulties especially in learning materials, like the book I used which is written in Bahasa without english traslation, as a Mathematics teacher aspired to be a problem solver, I must find a way where I can understand what was written in the book that they’ve used. With the help of U-dictionary I have now the ability to somehow understand what was the book all about.
Classroom management
Classroom management is not about having the right rules, it’s about having the right relationship. I never had a major problem in regards with classroom management in my class, maybe because I’m a foriegner in there school and they wanted me to have a great experience in there class. My students are participative and are adorable, they encourage me to speak in bahasa, and when I do they are so happy and amazed. For me having the right relationship to your students is enough for you to gain respect and honor from them, and with that relationship they are comfortable in the teaching and learning process.
Overall impression in teaching
A wise man once said “the root of eduaction is bitter but the fruit is sweet”. For this experience of mine in the SEA teacher program I have learned one thing, “teaching is not easy”. As a teacher we are not just teaching our students merely ABC or 1+1=2 but we are also imparting lives to them. In teaching we need faith, patience and love. Faith, we need to have faith in our students, we hope for their future that every one of them will be someone in the future. We need them to believe in theirselves, but for as to do that we have to make our students feel that we have faith in them so they could have faith in theirselves. Patience, it is importand for us to have patientce especially to our students who are slow learners, because every students have their own phase of learning. Love, of course you can’t have faith in your students if you don’t love them, and you can’t be patient to them if you don’t have love for them. If you love your students you will love your teaching profession.
